One of our most memorable George to the Rescue projects! Being a part of the team that created this project for Anasastia Pagonis was amazing.
At the time of this rescue, Anastasia Pagonis was a 15 year old swimmer who had recently lost her eyesight completely. Her bedroom and bathroom are two places that she retreats to when looking for comfort, however, light sensitivity issues and losing her sight created hazardous conditions that were out of the family’s control.
That’s where we came in!
We were all hands on deck, designing a safe and refreshing bathroom that she could navigate on her own as well as a glamorous, tactile bedroom that Tas could experience with her senses. A safe haven…
But that’s not it!
We also surprised Tas with her own indoor, endless pool to help her train on her journey to Tokyo 2020., where she won the Paralympics in Swimming with multiple gold medals!
George to the Rescue submitted this project to the Emmy Awards committee and won! Outstanding National Daytime Series!
This rescue helped give Tas the confidence that she needed – she’s now also a social media star! Check out her Instagram
