Marlaina is known for creating luxury spaces for a discerning clientele. She designs beautiful, one-of-a-kind interiors accented with custom furniture, millwork, and fine finishes. Marlaina has designed a variety of residences, from elegant penthouses to opulent estates.
She combines luxurious textures, high-end finishes, custom furniture, and unique accessories to create the homes of her clients’ dreams whether the client prefers traditional, contemporary, or somewhere in between. Marlaina’s interiors all showcase her signature sense of sophistication and upscale glamour.
Originally, Marlaina started her career in fashion, eventually falling in love with the world of interior design and home furnishings. The seasonal changes, different textures, patterns, fabrics, and colors excited and inspired her.
Today, Marlaina draws her inspiration from nature, art, architecture, and her travels abroad. Her style is unique to each project she approaches and she always incorporates her signature mix of color, pattern, and texture into her design aesthetic. One of her favorite parts of the process is the personal connection she forms with the client and how she can best create a beautiful space that fits their needs.
Her expertise in design and project management encompasses residential and commercial spaces from a one-room makeover to a complete renovation, new build, space, planning, 3D rendering, custom furnishings, and selections.
Collaborating with Julie Dasher Rugs, Marlaina was thrilled to introduce her new rug collection that features fun, bold graphics and tone-on-tone texture. The line is fully customizable and has been sought out by designers looking to offer their clients a unique experience.
As a featured designer on the Emmy award-winning home improvement show “George to the Rescue,” Marlaina works with George Oliphant and his team to deliver beautiful homes for deserving families. She has also appeared on WNBC and WPIX. Her work has been published in many prominent publications like Traditional Home, HOUSE Magazine, California Home, Renovation Style, and Better Homes and Gardens, amongst others.
